Itinerary Details
Day 1: Arrival at Lohajung

Altitude 2620 mts Stay Hotel or Home Stay Arrive at Lohajung and meet our trek guide, stay at a hotel or homestay in Lohajung.How to reach Lohajung: The drive from Kathgodam to Lohajung is long but pleasing as it passes through popular hill stations of the Kumaon region. If traveling in a group you can book a cab to Lohajung or else you can break the journey into two parts. First, take a bus/shared cab to travel from Kathgodam to Gwaldam then travel from Gwaldam to Lohajung. Ideally, Lohajung is the last road head but jeeps do travel from Lohajung to Wan on Kachha Raasta. There are a couple of shops and a handful of guesthouses at Lohajung. Overnight stay in the guesthouse.

Day 2: Lohajung – Didina Village

Trek10 kmsStayHome Stay or Camps,Start your trek by downhill from Lohajung towards Raun Bagad where a bridge is resting over Neel Ganga River. It takes around 2-3hrs to reach Raun Bagad. The trail is gorgeous and covered with Rhododendron and Oak trees. The gushing sound of Neel Ganga is constantly audible.
It takes another 3 hours to reach Didina Village that is hanging over the mountain across the bridge. The climb is steep and goes through a verdant forest. Take breaks in between to catch your breath and continue trekking upwards. Didina is a quaint little village where you can either enjoy a home stay or stay in tents at Didina camp site

Day 3: Didina Village – Ali Bugyal

Trek10 kmsStayCamps,The trail is a cake’s walk for few hundred meters but as soon as you enter the dense oak forest the climb starts getting on you. It is one long climb inside the forest but the pure mountain breeze makes it pleasant and relaxing. After 3 hours of hiking you will reach Tolkien, where the forest trail opens up to a mini meadow. Continue climbing up on the ridge, soon all your eyes can see will turn into a never ending expanse of lush green meadow kissing sky, welcome to Ali Bugyal.
But this is just the beginning, it will still take another hour for you to reach on top of the Ali Bugyal. Conifer forest are clinging on the slopes of Ali Bugyal which makes it all the more beautiful and a unique alpine meadow. Soon it becomes a laid back walk on Ali Bugyal until you reach three fibre huts of forest department. Do lookout for a proper water resource before camping at Ali Bugyal. At times there is a water shortage in this region.

Day 4: Ali Bugyal – Bedni Bugyal

Trek3 kms Altitude3354 mtr Stay Camps,To reach Bedni Bugyal you need to continue climbing again over a ridge that leads to Bedni Bugyal. While walking on the ridge take a final look at the magical Ali Bugyal, a perfect bird’s eye view.As soon as you cross the ridge you’ll witness a completely different form of nature’s beauty. The days trek ends up at Bedni Bugyal, an enormous lush green meadow spread over the mountain. A steep ridge arching up into the dusk offers the enchanting view of the lofty Trishul (7,120mts)and Nanda Ghunti Peak. The reflection of the Trishul peak on the divine Bedni Kund is a treat to the eyes

Day 5: Bedni Bugyal – Wan – Lohajung

Trek12 kmsTrek12 kmsAltitude2620 mtsStayHotel or Home Stay.The trail descends gradually in altitude and can be easily covered in 4-5hrs of time. Enter the dense forest and descend continuously until you reach a small bridge over Neel Ganga. Rest for a while and climb for an hour on the mountain opposite to the bridge. Soon you’ll reach a flat wide path crossing through farms of the local villagers. It takes another hour to reach Wan from this point. Drive from Wan to Lohajung.

Day 6: Departure from Lohajung

Stay Hotel or Home Stay Departure after breakfast, our trek services will end at Lohajung.Travel Tip: While traveling back you can go for the other route. The journey from Lohajung to Rishikesh is as long as it is from Kathgodam to Lohajung. Bus facilities to Delhi are much better at Rishikesh than it is at Kathgodam. You might want to celebrate the completion of the trek by rafting in Rishikesh.
